Who we are
Reedyford Car Sales is a family-run dealership based in Nelson, Lancashire. We are deliberately small. We hold a hand-picked selection of used cars rather than a field full of part-exchanges, which means we can actually stand behind everything on the forecourt and tell you honestly what each car is like to live with.
Most of our customers come from Nelson, Brierfield, Barrowford, Colne and Burnley, and a good number of them come back a second and third time or send family in. That is the business we are trying to run — the kind where you are happy to recommend us.
How we prepare a car
Every car goes through the same process before it is listed, regardless of whether it is a £3,000 runabout or the most expensive thing on the forecourt:
- HPI check — we confirm the car is clear of outstanding finance, not recorded as stolen, and not an insurance write-off.
- MOT — cars are sold with a fresh MOT where the existing one is short.
- Mechanical inspection — brakes, tyres, fluids and servicing are checked and put right where needed.
- Full valet — inside and out, through our sister business, Reedyford Mobile Car Valet Service.
If something is not perfect, we tell you before you buy rather than hoping you do not notice. A stone chip, a kerbed wheel, a service that is due soon — you will hear about it from us first.
Our sister business
We also run Reedyford Mobile Car Valet Service, which handles valeting and servicing work. That is a genuine advantage for buyers: preparation happens in-house, so we are not signing off on somebody else's work, and you have somewhere local to go for servicing afterwards.
Coming to see us
We are in Nelson, Lancashire, BB9, open Mon-Sat 9:00-18:00. There is parking on site. It is always worth calling ahead so we can have the car you are interested in ready, charged and out front rather than boxed in behind three others.
You are welcome to take any car out on a proper test drive — including a stretch of the M65, not just a lap of the block.
